Assessment Comments
Assessment is based on results of (1) surveys by IDNR Fisheries Bureau and (2) results of U.S. EPA/IDNR fish tissue monitoring.
Basis for Assessment
The assessments for the 1994 and 1996 reports were reviewed and approved by the DNR Fisheries Bureau. Thus, the Class B(LW) aquatic life uses remain assessed as FST, while the fish consumption uses remain assesed as FS. No information is available for assessing support of the Class A (primary contact) recreation uses (=NAS). At the recommendation of the DNR Fisheries Bureau, this lake was placed on the 1998 list of Section 303(d) waters due to water quality problems with siltation and nutrients from nonpoint sources.
