Basis for Assessment
The assessments developed for the 1994 and 1996 reports were reviewed and approved by the DNR Fisheries Bureau. Thus, both the Class A (primary contact recreation) uses and the Class B(LW) aquatic life uses were assessed as PS due to high levels of turbidity from nonpoint runoff in the lake watershed. Nearly the entire watershed is in public ownership, and the turbidity is believed due to soil type. No information available for developing an assessment of support of the Class C (drinking water) uses.
