Impaired Waters List

2010 Assessment Summary - WINOFI - Waters In Need Of Further Investigation

The state list of waters in need of further investigation is required by Iowa's Credible Data Law and is comprised of waters in category 3b of Iowa's Integrated Report. WINOFI waters are those where limited information suggests, but does not conclusively demonstrate, a water quality impairment.

The Support column indicates the support level of the designated use for the segment. Where a "Not Supported" or "Partially Supported" is displayed, the use is impaired for one or more other causes.

For purposes of Integrated Reporting to USEPA, Iowa DNR's subcatories 2b, 2b-c, 2b-u, 3b, 3b-c, and 3b-u are considered part of overall IR Category 3: "Not Assessed" due to insufficient information for determining whether any use is met.
