Welcome to the Iowa DNR’s Wastewater Permit Information Exchange (WWPIE) system. This site provides public access to NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) and state operation permits for the State of Iowa.
Search for individual NPDES or state operation permits in final, draft, or draft-amendment status. Individual NPDES and state operation permits are included in WWPIE. Expired, closed, or revoked permits are not searchable. General Permit Authorizations are not included in WWPIE and facilities covered by General Permits will not appear in the search results. If you wish to obtain information on any permit not included in WWPIE, or if you wish to obtain an accessible copy of any of the documents in WWPIE, please contact a permit writer using the “Contact NPDES Staff” link above.
