TRANSCAER (Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response) is a voluntary national outreach effort that focuses on assisting communities prepare for and respond to a possible hazardous material transportation incident . Additional information regarding TRANSCAER can be found at: http://www.transcaer.org/.

With support from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa Emergency Management Agency, Iowa Department of Transportation, Canadian National, Iowa Northern, Union Pacific, and BNSF (along with many other supporters) Iowa is proud to announce that TRANSCAER is coming to town!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the locations for the Transcaer training in Burlington, IA and Red Oak, IA have been moved.
The new Burlington session is at the BNSF yard downtown on Main St between Elm and Maple Streets (Click here for new map).

The new Red Oak session is 1 block west of Broadway on Oak St (Click here for new map).
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Limited funding for mileage and applicable meals will be available for public sector first responders traveling more than 50 miles. This funding will be approved on a first come first served basis. Funding requests must be submitted to Lisa Sexton by April 9, 2008 for all tour stops. Prior approval is required.
