Onsite Comments

Complainant stated there were 100 dead fish with spots on them at Lake Petocka. I tested the incoming water (field tile) for common Iowa pesticides and nitrogen compounds. They were either not detected, or not elevated. Previous fishkills were possibly caused by chlorine in city drinking water that entered the pond. Fish were in various states of decomposition. I saw live fish.
